Frequently asked questions

All clear?

Can I use Calegg on iPhone? +
Yes. You can sign up and use Calegg in your iPhone or iPad browser. No app download is needed. The native iOS version is not available yet.
Does the AI really get my dish right? +
AI estimates ingredients and portions from the image. It can make mistakes, especially with sauces or hidden ingredients. Review the result before saving. It does not replace advice from a healthcare professional.
What happens with my photos? +
Your photos are processed to provide the analysis using the providers described in our privacy policy, including AI services. Read the policy for details on data processing and your rights. Read the privacy policy →
Does it work for home-only / restaurant-only eating? +
It works for both. Recognition is trained on cooked dishes, so photos of served portions work better than loose ingredients.
Can I log drinks, snacks or supplements? +
Yes. Besides photos, you can log your food by dictating or typing what you ate. Drinks are added from a predefined list and don't consume analysis credits.
Does it work offline? +
AI analysis needs a connection. But you can take the photo without signal and Calegg will process it when you're back online.
How much does it cost and can I cancel? +
Start with welcome credits, with no payment card. Once used, you can still view your history and choose a credit pack or subscription to keep analyzing. Cancel renewal at any time and keep paid access until the end of the billing period.
